Director- John Ousley
What a joy it is to serve as Director of the Wesley Foundation at ETSU! I am entering my second year as Director and looking forward to another great year of worship and fun at Wesley. I have had many varied ministry opportunities throughout my career. These include: serving as a Physical Education Teacher on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico, serving as a Pastor and Assistant Pastor of small and large United Methodist Churches, and served as a Camp Director of Camp Dickenson in Fries, Virginia. I have been blessed to be appointed in June of 2010 to serve as the Campus Minister of ETSU Wesley Foundation.
I am originally from Maryville, Tennessee. I am a graduate of Hiwassee College, University of Tennessee, and Emory University in Atlanta. I was ordained Elder in the Holston Conference in 1992. My interest include harmonica and guitar playing, fishing, boating, training bird dogs, tennis and table tennis, college sports and enjoying our log home at the base of Buffalo Mountain.
I am married to Lisa Ellen Ousley. Lisa has her doctorate in nursing and serves as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Keystone Public Housing area of Johnson City. She is my biggest fan and supporter! Lisa is very active with the Wesley Foundation when her schedule allows. We have two grown sons and three grandchildren.
My greatest joy is to watch people respond to the Lord and grow in their walk with God. We experience this all the time at ETSU Wesley in our fellowship and worship times together. It would be a great privilege and honor to have you be a part of the Wesley family at ETSU. It would be a great blessing to serve in ministry with you. Come by and see us sometime!

I am really blessed to be the mother of two (Kevin and Kristen) and grandmother of two (Dillard and Blair). The best thing about working at Wesley for all these many years is the friends I have made - students, members of the board, and members of the ETSU community.
The talents and spiritual growth of students, past and present, is wonderful to witness. It is an Awesome experience!
