The ETSU Wesley Foundation is campus ministry affiliated with the United Methodist Church but is open to EVERYONE at East Tennessee State University. We welcome all denominations with open arms and many of our students are of other denominations. Our ministry aims to be a home away from home for college students where they can come worship, fellowship, and make friendships that will last a lifetime, in an atmosphere where they can grow closer to God.
Reaching and encouraging students to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ through community, discipleship, missions and servanthood.
What a joy it is to serve as Director of the Wesley Foundation at ETSU! I am entering my fourth year as Director and looking forward to another great year of worship and fun at Wesley. I have had many varied ministry opportunities throughout my career. These include: serving as a Physical Education Teacher on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico, serving as a Pastor and Assistant Pastor of small and large United Methodist Churches, and served as a Camp Director of Camp Dickenson in Fries, Virginia. I have been blessed to be appointed in June of 2010 to serve as the Campus Minister of ETSU Wesley Foundation.
I graduated from ETSU once in 2015 with a Bachelors in Psychology and minor in Family Studies then again in 2017 with a Masters in Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling. I have been involved with The Wesley for the past five years, and the community here has deeply impacted my time here in college. I am beyond excited to serve as assistant director by sharing Jesus’s great love for His people here at ETSU and helping students grow in their faith as well as with one another. I love my cat (Pooter), board games, organizing, cleaning, Podcasts, and long walks on the beach.
I graduated from ETSU with a degree in Mass Communications/ Photography shortly after graduation I married the talented Matt Sanders who you will see in the worship band at Wesley. I am thankful to be able to use my talents at the Wesley Foundation too! I enjoy taking photos of happy people and my three "fur babies."- (Malcom , Foxy and Frankie) I look forward to meeting you and seeing what God has in store for The Wesley Foundation this year!
Amy is so cool! Her bio will be coming soon!
